Native Tan ® was founded in 1962 by Paul E. Burke in Daytona Beach Florida and has been providing family value sun care products for the past 46 years.

In January of 2008, Paul Burke & Dan Knorr of Daytona Beach Florida who was formerly an Executive Vice-President of Hawaiian Tropic® and currently owns Tropical Seas®, Inc. along with Beach Buff® Reef Safe Sun Care brand decided to Joint Venture the Native Tan product line, thus the new company “Native Tan LLC” was formed.

While the Native Tan ® name will continue being a “Family Value Brand” ; the Native Tan® product line has also been totally re-formulated to bring it current with the FDA regulations and manufacturing guidelines. The Native Tan ® products are all manufactured in the Tropical Seas new state of the art FDA Compliant manufacturing facility. All SPF lotion products are now 80 minute waterproof and provide UVA-UVB Broad-spectrum protection. As well as, Mineral Oil Free and DO NOT Contain any animal by-products, nor any animal testing.

In addition to the revised formulations we have also re-packaged into 5.1 fl oz squeezable tubes with dispensing caps with 8.45 fl oz after sun care remedies.
